Norma Rouch, 94 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Parker Health and Rehab. She was born on May 7, 1929 to Lester and Naomi Hinshaw. She married Robert (Bob) Rouch in May of 1973.
Norma was a graduate of Lincoln High School where she was a cheerleader. She worked as an Electrolux Sweeper saleswoman, was the owner of the laundromat and car wash on North Main Street in Winchester, and worked at Ausberger’s Grocery Store in North Webster. Norma enjoyed going for car rides with Bob, watching basketball and other sports, and being active. In her younger years you would often see her riding her bike or walking to work in North Webster. Norma had a beautiful and infectious smile.
Norma is survived by her husband, Bob; son, Kent (Michele) Ward of New Smyrna Beach, FL; son, Bart (Shelly) Ward of Lynn; daughter-in-law, Karen Ward of Winchester; step-daughter, Judy Wilkin of Muncie; step-son, Allen (Tina) Rouch of Montpelier; eight grandchildren, Marcie Manning, Jeremy Manning, Jason (Tyla) Ward, Justin (Kate) Ward, Cierra (David) Fisher, Brock (Michelle) Ward, Kailee Ward, and Lindsay Ward, 7 step-grandchildren, Robbie Rouch, Kelly Rouch, Lance (Grace) Rouch, Terry (Marlene) Rouch, Tonya Roark, Sandy, and Shawn, and several great-grandchildren.
Norma was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheila Ward; son, Brett Ward; step-son, Jerry Rouch; brothers, Charles Hinshaw and Marvin (Gene) Hinshaw and a sister, Shirley Lewis.
A graveside service for Norma will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester with Pastor Jeff Straley officiating.
